These abnormalities of newborn babies are actually quite common

When the October pregnancy is finally over, I thought I could relax a little after unloading and start the pleasant experience of being a mother. However, a series of abnormal performance of the baby after birth makes mothers nervous again. Drooling, overflowing milk, jaundice, peeling skin …… Are these symptoms common to every baby?
These abnormalities in newborn babies are actually quite common!
Don’t panic, the following “abnormal” phenomenon, in fact, very common!
  A, weight loss
Some mothers found that when the baby was born seems to be heavier, but within a few days after the weight loss, is not the milk malnutrition? In fact, the newborn baby will probably lose weight within a week of birth, is a physiological weight loss, will not exceed 7% of the birth weight of newborns. The reasons for weight loss are related to the excretion of fetal stool and urine after birth, loss of water from the skin and lungs, and less milk at birth. However, as the baby gradually adapts, after about 10 days, the weight will increase and grow faster.
Mothers note that if the baby’s weight continues to drop without increasing, you should take it to the doctor.
  Occipital baldness
The appearance of a circle of hair on the head does not grow, less hair or no hair, etc., so that mothers are worried, which is also one of the common signs that mothers can not help but to give their babies calcium. In fact, almost every baby about 2 months after birth, the back of the head, the upper part of the neck will appear the phenomenon of less hair, which is related to the baby’s sleeping position, etc., not necessarily a lack of calcium!
  Three, false menstruation
Mothers with female babies at home may find that individual female babies are just born with vaginal bleeding and even white discharge. This is mainly due to the fetus being influenced by estrogen in the mother’s body, which makes the vaginal epithelium proliferate, secretion increase and endothelial hyperplasia. After birth, the estrogen drops, the endometrium sheds, and a small amount of bloody and white discharge comes out of the vagina. This phenomenon occurs around 3~7 days after birth and lasts about a week.
  IV. Spitting up/overflowing milk
It is easy for a new mother to be overwhelmed when her baby vomits just after eating milk. In fact, within 3 months of birth, the cardia muscles are not yet well developed and the stomach capacity of newborns is small, so it is easy to spit up milk. As the age of the baby increases, the symptoms of spitting up will be relieved. To improve such phenomenon, you can gently pat ta back during and after feeding, and keep upright for 20~30 minutes after feeding.
Note: If the spit-up is jet-like, in larger amounts, or if there is a yellow-green substance, or if the spit-up is still severe after 3 months, further examination should be done.
  V. Burping
Some mothers may wonder why their babies burp when they are so young. This is mainly because the diaphragm of a newborn baby is not yet mature, so it will burp frequently. In addition, babies who are too excited or who feed too much are also prone to hiccups. The hiccups will decrease at about 3 to 4 months of age.
  Sixth, horse teeth
When a baby is born 4-6 weeks ago, some yellowish-white dots appear on both sides of the midline of the palate and on the edge of the gums, like “teething”. In fact, this is the time to grow “horse teeth”, medically called epithelial beads, is the accumulation of epithelial cells, belongs to the normal physiological phenomenon. The horse teeth generally do not affect the development of milk and milk teeth, there is no discomfort, will gradually fall off within a few months, no treatment, and do not use a needle to pick or wipe with a cloth!
Bleeding in the whites of the eyes
A small amount of blood in the whites of the eyes, mainly occurs in newborn babies born in the first position. This is mainly due to the extrusion of the birth canal during delivery! Do not panic, after a few days will be fine!
  Eight, cross-eyed
The middle pupil of the eye is born or artificially close to the middle, also known as the opposite eye, medical students called internal strabismus. In fact, the newborn’s early eye is not yet fixed, the eye muscles are poorly regulated, can not coordinate well with the extraocular muscles, so it looks like cross-eyed. As the baby grows up and the eye develops, this phenomenon will improve.
Mothers note that when the baby is small, you should always hold a walk, look at other places, to encourage ta eyes constantly turn, do not always hang toys in the crib lying and playing.
  Nine, jumping in surprise
Babies often unconsciously appear when they fall asleep, limbs, limb shaking. Infant sleep jumping is a common phenomenon in the newborn period, is a normal physiological performance. This phenomenon occurs mainly because the neonatal nervous system is not well developed and the cerebral cortex is not mature. The stimuli received cannot be transmitted to the brain for judgment like adults, so that the limb shaking occurs. This behavior of infants is due to the self-protective reaction of infants to the outside world. As the baby grows up, this phenomenon will disappear. If it still occurs frequently after five months, a checkup is needed. When a baby has a startled jump, the mother can gently pat ta with her hand, or press any part of the body that can quickly quiet down.
There are many other phenomena in newborn babies, such as urinating red urine 2~3 days after birth, sleeping for a long time, reversing day and night, passing fetal stool/meconium within a few days after birth, flat and flat soles of the feet just after birth, large fluctuations in body temperature, peeling skin, etc. These are relatively common phenomena and mothers need not worry.
