Some pregnant women, when they have ultrasound in early pregnancy, will find luteal cysts on the adnexa, which are physiological cysts. In most cases, luteal cysts will not affect the pregnant woman’s body and will disappear naturally in about 2 months of pregnancy and will not be visible in the later stages. However, there are a few luteal cysts that are particularly large and may rupture during pregnancy. Rupture of the corpus luteum cyst can also lead to hemorrhage and infection, for which surgical treatment is required. If there are no symptoms, it is recommended to review the ultrasound dynamically, and as long as the ultrasound results are not significantly abnormal, observation can continue.
