Neurasthenia and its treatment

  Neurasthenia (the name of the disease is actually no longer mentioned, most of them are replaced by depression, but many patients can receive the diagnosis and treatment of neurasthenia but not depression, so this article is still expressed as neurasthenia) is a neurological disorder caused by the dysfunction of excitation and inhibition of the brain due to long-term overstimulation of the brain. This disorder is more common in women and adolescents. Many adolescents are unable to properly deal with and understand work and study burdens, death of relatives, life setbacks, interpersonal conflicts, etc. Long-term psychological conflicts and depressions are not resolved, which leads to dysfunction of the brain and body system and causes neurasthenia. Patients often suffer from emotional instability, insomnia, fatigue, and depression. The sick teenager often also has a variety of physical discomfort symptoms, and delayed into chronic, sometimes light, sometimes heavy, on physical and mental health caused by adverse effects.
  There are five main types of neurasthenia symptoms as follows.
  1, easy excitement: learning, conversation, recreational activities are caused by mental excitement, can not control. Attention cannot be focused. Especially sensitive to the surrounding bright light, noise and crowded, often because of a small stimulus and panic heartbeat, sweating, often so inexplicably angry at others, but soon after the noise and feel guilty, self-reproach.

  3, easy to headache: headache manifested as tension headache, that is, often aggravated when studying, and significantly reduced after rest. Sometimes there is a feeling of stiffness in the neck, sometimes it is like being hit by a heavy object, drowsy, and sometimes it is like wearing a “tight band”, but it is generally tolerable, and it is significantly reduced after sleeping.
  (4) Easy insomnia; mainly difficulty in falling asleep, easy to wake up, difficult to fall back to sleep after waking up. Often dream a lot and most of them are bad dreams, so sleep is not good, and sleep is not relieved.
  (5) Phytodysfunction: Most of them have symptoms such as anorexia, irregular menstruation, panic, heartbeat, high or low blood pressure.
  Specifically for individuals, there are various symptoms, both mild and severe, but usually the above 2 and 3 are the main symptoms.
  So, how does neurasthenia arise?
  For adolescents, the key cause of neurasthenia is study fatigue, overuse of the brain and poor rest recovery. At the same time, it has a lot to do with improper learning methods and psychological burden. For women, social and family pressures are the main triggers. Women who have a narrow mind (which many people do not always admit), a relatively closed living environment, and who like to suffer from loss and gain have developed the disease.
  Under the excessive burden of study and life, continuous overtime, sacrificing rest time, resulting in continuous mental overstrain and fatigue; some teenagers have high ambition and dare to rise to the challenge in learning, but in fact the burden and difficulty exceed their ability, so it is often difficult to complete the tasks they set for themselves, thus increasing the burden of thought; some teenagers do not know how to arrange time rationally, do not know the importance of study and relaxation Some teenagers do not know the importance of learning and relaxation, accelerating fatigue; some teenagers learn the content of the arrangement of chaotic, a moment to remember this door, a moment to start another in a hurry, a short period of tension stimulation too much, soon resulting in brain overload; other teenagers are forced to learn under the pressure of family and school, not much interest, but have to complete, psychological pressure, resentment, is also an important cause of neurasthenia. Affected teenagers usually have weaknesses in character and emotional development, such as more subjective, capricious, impatient, too strong; others have low self-esteem, suspicious and cowardly, introverted.
  Self-regulation of neurasthenia
  1, through psychological counseling, to reduce the psychological burden, firm confidence to cure the disease.
  2, through the breathing control method to regulate. Breathing methods are.
  (1) deep breathing method, do deep and long slow, the abdomen up and down, pay attention to experience the sound of breathing and the feeling of increasing relaxation of the body.
  (2) sigh method, standing or sitting a deep sigh, and then let the fresh air naturally into the lungs.
  (3) pat breathing method, upright, both hands naturally vertical, slow inhalation, after two fingertips or palms lightly tapping various parts of the chest, exhale with appropriate force little by little intermittent spitting.
  (4) alternate breathing method, that is, blocking one side of the nostrils to breathe in, change the blocked side to breathe out, repeated 10-30 times.
  3, through self-referral method to self-regulation. For example, before going to bed, mainly through verbal cues, relax all parts of the body. Be careful not to be too fast or inattentive. Hypnotic suggestion can be: “My whole body is relaxed, sleepy …… my whole body is full of tiredness, hands and feet have no power to move, I want to sleep very much …… my eyes can not open, I really want to close my eyes to sleep …… I will soon fall asleep …… thick sleep enveloped me, I want to sleep, to sleep deeply …… I want to sleep, I will soon be asleep ……” Note never to think about whether this cue language makes sense or has a role to play, just follow the line.
  4. Music therapy. According to their own symptoms and conditions, the choice of some classical light music, or early in the morning, or afternoon work fatigue, or before going to sleep, while resting to listen to light music (try not to use disco and other music), often to eliminate fatigue and tension, reduce psychological pressure and entertainment, such as the effect of a multi-talent. It should be reminded that listening to music time to be reasonable, not too long, while the volume should not be too heavy, otherwise, it is counterproductive.
