How to treat nasal cysts

The treatment of patients with nasal cysts, including observation and surgical treatment, is as follows: I. Observation: If the nasal cysts are relatively small and do not lead to any uncomfortable symptoms for the patient, clinical observation is fine. Commonly, there are septal sinus cysts and maxillary sinus cysts, most of which are found unintentionally during physical examination or doing brain CT. In this case, general observation is enough, no special treatment is needed and it will not lead to very serious consequences. Second, surgical treatment: If the nasal cyst frequently breaks down, resulting in the patient’s frequent flow of yellowish nasal discharge, or if the nasal cyst becomes locally infected, inducing headache and fever in the patient, the nasal cyst increases very significantly and completely blocks the sinus, resulting in a sense of facial bulging in the patient. In this case, nasal endoscopic nasal cyst excision can be considered to remove the cyst completely, after which local infection can be avoided, avoiding recurrent rupture, discharge and other manifestations.
