Thoracic vertebral nodules are not necessarily lung cancer, but may be benign nodules, lung cancer, metastasis of malignant tumors and so on.
1. Benign nodule: the more common cause of thoracic nodule is caused by lumbar disc degeneration. Part of the population can also appear bone and other hyperplastic material, no special treatment is needed without clear symptoms. Regular follow-up is sufficient. If the nodule is large and produces pressure and other symptoms, corresponding measures should be taken, and if necessary, surgical treatment should be carried out.
2. Lung cancer: Thoracic spine nodules may also be caused by lung cancer, which may produce symptoms such as chest tightness, chest pain, coughing up blood, and thoracic spine compression pain, etc. At this time, it is necessary to carry out imaging examination, and further clarification of the feasible pathologic examination. In this case, imaging examination and further pathological examination are needed. Lung cancer needs to be evaluated and appropriate treatment measures should be taken, including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and so on.
3. In addition, it may also be caused by metastasis of malignant tumors, which is not only caused by lung cancer, but also gastric cancer, liver cancer and other metastases, which need to be clarified after pathological examination.
Therefore, thoracic vertebral nodule cannot be directly recognized as lung cancer, and it is necessary to consult doctor in time and follow doctor’s instruction for examination and treatment.
