How many times a day is normal to urinate

A normal adult urinates about 8 times a day and may urinate 1-2 times during the night. The approximate volume of urine per day is about 2,000 ml. This is equivalent to filling four 500 ml bottles. Clinically, there can be an increase in the number of urination, as well as a decrease in the number of urination. 1. The decrease in the number of urination is seen when the amount of water drunk is relatively low, the temperature of the surrounding environment is relatively good, sweating is relatively high, and most of the body’s water is evaporated. Therefore, the number of urination and the volume of urination will be reduced. This situation can be improved slowly by drinking more water, replenishing water and getting out of the hot environment. If the number of urination is still low after increasing water intake and the total urine volume is also significantly less than normal, you should visit a hospital to rule out related diseases. 2.The increase in the number of urination mainly refers to the frequency of urination. (1) Decrease in the bladder’s ability to store urine. Diseases of the bladder itself, such as stones, inflammation and compression of surrounding tissues such as pelvic abscess. (2) Psychosomatic factors, excessive fear, anxiety. (3) Polyuria in acute renal failure, diabetes mellitus, uremia, all can cause frequent urination. (4) Pregnant women can also cause frequent urination due to the pressure of the pregnant uterus. (5) Men with prostate enlargement causing urethral obstruction cause frequent urination. If the number of bowel movements appears abnormal, consider the above-mentioned diseases, active urological examination and detailed treatment.
