Brain infarction there are three major drugs can not be stopped, do you know all

According to statistics, 40 million people die of cerebral infarction every year worldwide, 3 million in China alone, and the number of patients who cannot take care of themselves and lose the ability to work due to cerebral infarction nationwide has exceeded 20 million, cerebral infarction has become the highest killer of the cause of human death and has taken our lives without a sound. More than 50% of patients suffering from cerebral infarction in China have lost their lives due to recurrent attacks of the disease, and three-quarters of the surviving patients have lost the ability to work or even to take care of themselves. This shows that cerebral infarction is one of the diseases with the highest disability rate. Today we will take a look at the three major drugs that cannot be discontinued to prevent cerebral infarction. 1.What is cerebral infarction Cerebral infarction, formerly known as cerebral infarction, also known as ischemic stroke, refers to ischemic necrosis or softening of limited brain tissue caused by impaired blood supply to the brain and ischemia and hypoxia. The common clinical types of cerebral infarction include cerebral thrombosis, lacunar infarction and cerebral embolism, and cerebral infarction accounts for 80% of all strokes. Clinical manifestations are characterized by sudden collapse, unconsciousness, hemiplegia, speech impairment and mental retardation. (1) Statins Several studies have shown that statin therapy can stabilize or reverse plaque by lowering low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), anti-inflammatory and antioxidant pathways. Statins are currently the most effective lipid-lowering drugs, which can not only strongly lower total cholesterol and LDL, but also lower triacylglycerol and raise HDL to some extent, so statins can also be called more comprehensive lipid regulators. Statins are mainly used to lower cholesterol, especially LDL-cholesterol, and treat atherosclerosis, and have become one of the effective drugs in the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction. At present, the existing statins in China include lovastatin, simvastatin, pravastatin, fluvastatin, atorvastatin and rivastigmine, as well as pitavastatin. (2) Anti-platelet agents Cerebral infarction is caused by atherosclerosis, plaque rupture and emboli of cardiac origin, causing blockage of cerebral blood vessels or due to damage to the endothelium of arteries, resulting in local aggregation of platelets in the blood and triggering coagulation waterfall and the formation of thrombus, all resulting in acute occlusion of blood vessels, leading to ischemia and hypoxia necrosis of brain tissue and causing neurological dysfunction. Platelets are very important in the formation of thrombi, mainly arterial thrombi. Platelets have the function of adhesion and can adhere to the surface of the broken endothelium and aggregate with each other when there is damage to the vessel wall. This is the first aggregation. Antiplatelet drugs are a class of drugs that can block and inhibit one or more of the above processes and act as an anti-thrombotic agent. Antiplatelet therapy, which inhibits the occurrence and development of thrombosis by inhibiting platelet aggregation, therefore plays an important role in the treatment and prevention of ischemic cerebrovascular disease. Antiplatelet drugs mainly include aspirin, clopidogrel, prasugrel, tegretol, acitretin, tirofiban, and dipyridamole and cilostazol. (3) Antihypertensive drugs Long-term hypertension can damage the heart, kidneys and brain, with the brain being the most vulnerable. When blood pressure rises suddenly, it is very easy for plaque rupture and thrombosis to occur, resulting in stroke. Patients with hypertension should preferably use long-acting antihypertensive drugs, that is, antihypertensive drugs that need to be taken only 1-2 times a day, regularly, to control blood pressure below 140/90 mmHg. However, the dosage of antihypertensive drugs should be increased or decreased or discontinued in strict accordance with medical advice. Cerebral infarction not only poses a great threat to human health and life, but also brings great pain and heavy burden to patients, families and society. Therefore, middle-aged and elderly patients with high-risk factors must pay attention to the correct use of drugs to prevent the occurrence of cerebral infarction.
