Naber’s cyst, also known as Naber’s gland cyst, belongs to the cervical cysts, which are a type of cervicitis. It usually occurs during the healing process of cervicitis, when secretions in the cervical glands are overgrown by new squamous epithelium and block the cervical glandular ducts to form a cystic mass. Cysts can be large or small, protrude from the surface of the cervix, and can have no clinical symptoms. When accompanied by inflammation, it can present with increased leucorrhea with or without odor. The principle of formation is generally believed to be due to infection of the cervix with various pathogens, inflammatory reactions and changes, and during the healing and repair process of inflammation, secretions in the cervical glands, which are overgrown by the new squamous epithelium, block the cervical glands and form cystic masses. If the cyst does not have any symptoms, it can be observed and waited for without any special treatment. If there are symptoms, such as vaginitis, increased leucorrhea with or without odor, surgical treatment or physical therapy can be considered for treatment. The above is for reference only.
