Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disease with clinical manifestations of muscle stiffness in the extremities of patients. However, there is a characteristic of levodopa preparations that the efficacy of the drug may be reduced after long-term administration. Therefore, as Parkinson’s disease progresses and the efficacy of the drug is reduced, it is possible that the patient may have symptoms of generalized stiffness. If this symptom occurs, the first thing to consider is to increase the dose of the drug or use it together with other drugs to control the progression of the disease, it is possible that the symptoms of generalized stiffness will improve. It can also be combined with functional training and rehabilitation exercises to promote the recovery of the patient’s stiff limbs. Therefore, if Parkinson’s patients have symptoms of generalized stiffness, the first thing to consider is to adjust the dose of drugs, increase the use of other drugs together, or with functional exercises, rehabilitation training, can effectively relieve the symptoms of generalized stiffness.
