The nose is a congenital defect of the nose that results in excessive exposure of the nostrils. It is a common nasal deformity that occurs mainly as a result of a poorly developed nasal bone and nasal cartilage. The main features of the nose include an upturned nasal tip, upward-facing nostrils, more exposed nostrils, and a short nasal bridge. This nasal blemish can be improved by surgical correction. Mildly elevated nose can be corrected by lengthening the nasal cartilage, but moderately or severely elevated nose can be corrected by taking an appropriate amount of septal cartilage or alar cartilage to fill in the bridge and tip of the nose. Nasal septum cartilage transplantation and lengthening adopts open incision, separates the nasal septum cartilage and nasal wing cartilage, takes the whole of the back of the nasal septum cartilage, and becomes a prop to change the shape of the tip of the nose after being sculpted and processed by an experienced doctor. At the same time, the septum extension transplantation, fixed in front of the septum can make the tip of the nose forward and downward to produce curvature, reduce the nasolabial angle, improve the shape of the nostrils, and effectively solve the problem of the sunken nose and exposed nostrils. Since the nasal septum cartilage is part of the autologous tissue, it avoids allogeneic tissue rejection reaction during transplantation and is safer.
