The gallbladder is located in the right upper abdomen of the body and it is an important digestive organ of the body, generally divided into four parts: the base of the gallbladder, the neck of the gallbladder, the body of the gallbladder and the duct of the gallbladder. The gallbladder has the function of concentrating and storing bile, and also cushioning the bile duct pressure. The location in the human body can be divided into two kinds of body surface positioning points and the location of the physiological structures in the body.1. Body surface positioning point: The body surface positioning point is the intersection of the right side of the rectus abdominis muscle under the outer and inner edges, which is the intersection of the right side of the ribs below the rectus abdominis muscle. When normal people do sit-ups, they can touch the obvious outer edge of the rectus abdominis muscle, and this intersection of the outer edge of the rectus abdominis muscle and the right side under the ribs is the body surface positioning point of the gallbladder. The role of the body surface locating point is that there are corresponding symptoms in this area, the most typical one is the positive Murphy’s sign, which can be used to determine the existence of cholecystitis and related lesions when there is acute cholecystitis, as well as the severe tenderness in this area; 2. The middle point of the liver is marked. Below the gallbladder is the duodenum, and the function of the gallbladder is to store bile, which is secreted by the liver and enters the gallbladder through the common hepatic duct and cystic duct, and is concentrated and stored in the gallbladder. When food is eaten, bile is discharged from the gallbladder and reaches the duodenum below through the common bile duct, where it is used as digestive fluid to digest food. If there is an obstruction of the lower bile duct and the bile cannot drain, the gallbladder will appear significantly enlarged, in which case the presence of an associated daily disease can be determined by palpating the enlarged cystic structure at a localized point on the body surface of the gallbladder.
