What measures should be taken to prevent distortion of vision?

Visual distortion refers to the change of the shape of the object seen, mostly due to macular degeneration or retinal and choroidal lesions near the macula, which cause obvious edema of the retina, making the interval of the optic cells on the retina wider and larger, or due to retinal adhesions, scarring contraction traction, making the optic cells crowded in one piece or overlapping, etc. When looking at something, the shape and size of the object will change greatly, such as the object becomes smaller or the object becomes larger. It is mostly seen in macular fissure, macular anterior membrane, age-related macular degeneration and other diseases. The following methods are recommended for early prevention of visual deformation: 1) whether there is any blurring of words in books or newspapers; 2) whether there is any black shadow obscuring or blank area in the middle of the visual field; 3) whether there is any bending when looking at a straight line, for example, whether there is distortion when looking at chopsticks, etc. If any of the above happens, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible to see if it is macular degeneration.
