Rosacea is a skin disease that seriously affects people’s appearance, characterized by nasal flushing, pimples, papules, pustules, cysts and other damages. Persistent erythema and capillary dilatation may appear in the long term of rosacea, and nasal troubles may appear in the late stage, which seriously damages patients’ appearance and affects their work and life. Scratching surgery for the treatment of rosacea is a special diagnostic and therapeutic project of our department, one of the third batch of Chinese medicine clinical advantageous specialty construction projects, founded by the late Professor Shi Guanghai of our department, and has been improved through long-term clinical practice for several generations, which can treat all types of rosacea, especially for capillary dilatation and nasal lippiness type with remarkable efficacy. With the development of economic level, people begin to pay attention to beauty care, but with the abuse of cosmetics and the over-frequent use of facial hormone drugs, the incidence of nasal and perinasal capillary dilatation disfigurement diseases is increasing, such as rosacea and facial hormone-dependent dermatitis. The high incidence of this type of disease belongs to the dermatology of common diseases, but also an important indication for scratching surgery “scratching surgery for rosacea” is the Department of the late Professor Shi Guanghai invented the treatment of rosacea characteristics of the surgical treatment for capillary dilatation and nasal flab type of rosacea, the efficacy of the postoperative effect and does not leave a scar. At present, only a few doctors in China can carry out this surgery. As one of the academic successors of the third batch of dermatologists of Shanghai Municipal Clinical Advantageous Specialties of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I have systematically learned the treatment of rosacea from my teacher, and I have already carried out hundreds of surgeries independently, which maintains the department’s leading position in the field of treatment of rosacea in China.
