Apnea syndrome with angina, how to treat it

Apnea syndrome and angina pectoris are generally two separate diseases and can be treated with comprehensive therapy, medication and surgery respectively. 1. When apnea syndrome is diagnosed, comprehensive therapeutic measures should be taken to treat it, including weight control; change of sleeping position, sleeping on the side, elevating the head of the bed; quitting smoking and alcohol consumption; non-invasive positive airway pressure ventilation can be carried out if necessary, which can effectively improve the nighttime apnea and hypoventilation. 2. For angina pectoris, the faster-acting nitrate preparations, such as sublingual nitroglycerin or isosorbide nitrate, can be used to expand the coronary arteries and alleviate the pain symptoms during acute attacks. For patients with frequent attacks of more severe angina, if necessary, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for blood flow reconstruction therapy, generally can achieve better results. Therefore, when apnea syndrome with angina occurs, it is necessary to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner to avoid delaying the condition.
