Hand rubbing is not recommended for varicocele, because the mechanism of varicocele is the lack of venous valves in the spermatic cord, which increases the venous return pressure, or the spermatic vein merges into the renal vein at an excessive angle, which increases the venous pressure, or the presence of pressure factors in the retroperitoneum, which causes secondary varicocele. Hand rubbing does not improve the anatomical abnormality and makes the venous pressure drop, which will not cure the varicocele and requires appropriate medication or surgery to cure it completely. The varicocele can be slightly relieved by gently kneading the veins of the spermatic cord with the hand while the patient is in the horizontal position, because the varicocele recovers naturally due to the change of position from vertical to horizontal, which causes the pressure of the blood to drop and does not cure by squeezing with the hand. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the hospital for detailed examination and evaluation of varicocele and choose the appropriate treatment plan, and hand rubbing is not recommended.
