The common types and severity of ovarian cysts need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis as follows: 1. Physiological cysts: including follicular cysts and luteal cysts, which are physiological changes and can increase or decrease in size with the menstrual cycle and do not exceed five centimeters in diameter. Usually 1-3 menstrual cycles can subside on their own, and they are not serious cysts and do not require special treatment. However, in a few cases, because of larger cysts, strenuous exercise or position change, cyst rupture or tip torsion occurs and severe lower abdominal pain occurs, which should be treated immediately by a doctor; 2. Chocolate cyst: i.e. endometriotic cysts. Such patients will have mildly elevated blood CA12-5, dysmenorrhea and long-term chronic lower abdominal pain may affect reproductive function, and ultrasound examination suggests typical chocolate cyst performance. Although chocolate cysts are benign, they affect daily life and fertility and require medication and surgery; 3. ovarian superfluous cysts: ovarian tumors, including benign tumors, junctional tumors and malignant tumors, are more serious cysts and surgery is recommended.
