Although the number of cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia is increasing significantly faster than SARS, the mortality rate is lower than that of SARS. The number of severe cases of SARS is higher, and there are “super-spreaders”, with many medical staff being infected.
Most of the new coronavirus infections are mild, and some mild cases can be cured without hospitalization, and there are no data on “superspreaders” yet.
Although the new coronavirus is more difficult to prevent and control than SARS, and may be contagious during the incubation period, the overall disease is less severe than SARS.
