The major joints of the human body are subject to flexion and simple rotation, and the functional position of the joints is basically the flexion position of the joints. On the major joints, the functional position is not used to describe the position of the joints, like the functional position of the hand is the wrist cocked at about 30°. The whole fingers are together toward the thumb, which is called the functional position of the hand function, because the hand is a palmar function, some functional position is to facilitate the patient to put a cast, and reduce the damage of the hand function and the emergence of the functional position. Functional positions are not normally used to describe large joints, the most common joints described are those of the hand and wrist.
