How to enter the needle at Taichong point

Taichong is the acupoint and original point of the liver meridian, commonly used in treating wind-heat diseases of the liver meridian, etc. The needle should be inserted straight. Taichong is the acupoint and original point of the foot syncopal liver meridian, located on the back of the foot between the 1st and 2nd phalanges, in the depression in front of the bottom of the phalanges, and the needle should be straight. Taichong can be used to treat wind-heat disorders of the liver meridian, such as pediatric convulsions (a pediatric disease characterized by dizziness, apoplexy, and convulsions), epilepsy, stroke, vertigo, and redness and swelling of the eyes. This point can also be used to treat obstetrics and gynecology diseases such as irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, metrorrhagia (excessive or dribbling menstruation), dysmenorrhea, dystocia (pain in the area of the coats of arms and ribs), jaundice, abdominal distension, bitter taste in the mouth, vomiting, etc., as well as enuresis, urinary retention (inappetence of dribbling of urine or inability to urinate), and swelling and pain in the foot and tarsus. If you feel unwell, it is recommended that you go to the hospital as soon as possible. Acupuncture operations on Taichong acupoints need to be guided by a specialized physician.
