Please don’t stay up late and drink.

I have some little kid patients who have been seeing me since they were very young, when they were students in school, elementary, middle school, and high school. Their parents supervised the treatment very carefully. With the extension of time, the disease was gradually controlled. After the liver function was normal, HBVDNA turned negative, and the major triple sun became minor triple sun, for many years they were like little birds, still coming for regular review in summer and winter vacations, and their condition was stabilized. Watching the children grow like saplings, the parents were happy, and the doctor was satisfied. Slowly, the interval between their visits became longer. That’s because they grew up, became successful, graduated, studied abroad, worked, got married, and became parents. They started to go out into the society, into the world, into a new life. They are beginning to develop their talents and responsibilities. When the children come back for review, they have become beautiful girls and handsome men. As a doctor, I was really relieved and happy! However, in the recent review, I found that some of them had started to stay up late at night, started to drink, and their illnesses had begun to recur! I am very distressed. Here, I would like to tell everyone not to do this. I hope you will bear in mind that staying up all night will lower the immune function, cause resistance to decline, the body’s ability to control the replication of hepatitis B virus will decline, and the disease will relapse. Drinking alcohol can directly or indirectly cause liver damage. For us children with hepatitis, today’s happy life is not easy to come by, and I hope you value your health, and have a body to have everything.
