Ovarian cancer is one of the common tumors of female reproductive organs, ranking third in incidence rate after cervical cancer and uterine corpus cancer. However, ovarian cancer accounts for the first place among all kinds of gynecological tumors, and is a malignant tumor that seriously threatens women’s lives. Ovaries are located deep in the pelvis. Ovarian cancer is difficult to find or screen, and most ovarian cancers are asymptomatic in early stages. 70% of ovarian cancers have spread to the uterus, bilateral adnexa, greater omentum and pelvic organs by the time of diagnosis, and the tissue type of ovarian cancer is complex, so ovarian cancer is currently a hot spot for research in both diagnosis and treatment. Common symptoms of ovarian cancer include: 1. Abdominal distension and abdominal pain Patients’ first symptoms are often manifested in the gastrointestinal tract. Many patients almost always consult gastroenterology first because of abdominal distension, poor appetite and reduced diet. If ascites appears, abdominal distension will be more pronounced, and abdominal pain may also appear. 2, abdominal swelling Some patients may inadvertently feel a swelling in the lower abdomen before waking up in the morning to use the toilet. However, when the mass is small they often can not feel it and must rely on ultrasound and other imaging tests to detect it. For new ovarian masses in postmenopausal women, regardless of their size, they need to be alerted.3. Menstrual changes About half of ovarian cancer patients will have abnormal menstruation and irregular vaginal bleeding.4. Compression symptoms Larger masses often show obvious compression symptoms, such as frequent urination, urgent stool, anal congestion, unclean stool, and other discomforts. When ovarian cancer has extensive pelvic and abdominal metastases and a large amount of ascites, symptoms such as chest tightness and breath-holding are also more common.
