How to treat a liver abscess that has been drained for six months and still has pus to break it up

Liver abscesses that have been draining for six months and still have pus can be considered for eradication by lobectomy or segmental resection of the liver.
If the liver is infected for any reason and left untreated, an abscess may form, called a liver abscess, which are secondary. Abscess incision and drainage is a very important treatment for liver abscesses, and if six months of abscess incision and drainage is not effective, resection of a lobe or segment of the liver may be considered.
The indications for hepatic resection include chronic liver abscess, liver abscess that leaves a dead space after incision and drainage or sinusoids that do not heal with prolonged flow of pus, and surgical resection of liver lobes or segments that are severely damaged and have lost function.
Liver abscesses also need to be treated with medication, please be guided by your physician.
