How to prevent and control freckles?

What are freckles? Freckles are small light brown spots, pinpoint to rice-grain in size, often appearing on the forehead, bridge of the nose and cheeks, and occasionally on the neck, shoulders and back of the hands. It is an autosomal dominant disorder that worsens in summer and decreases in winter. What methods are available to treat freckles and how do they work? There are many methods that can be used to treat freckles, such as peeling agents, herbs, and freezing. However, with the advancement of laser technology, the early methods have been largely eliminated. Nowadays, 755nm laser and 532nm laser are mainly used in clinical practice, with good efficacy and less side effects.       The principle of laser freckle treatment is selective photothermal action. After the laser irradiates to the skin, the melanin mass in the skin can preferentially absorb the photothermal energy, thus destroying the melanin and achieving the effect of removing the pigmentation. What are the precautions for postoperative care of laser freckle treatment? 1.Sun protection; 2.Take vitamin C orally for two weeks; 3.Use topical medication to promote healing for 3 days; 4.Do not get water on the affected area before the scabs fall off.
