Chances of benign malignancy in ovarian tumors

Ovarian tumors are divided into benign and malignant tumors. The chance of benign tumors is higher than that of malignant tumors, with all benign tumors having a chance of more than 70%, while the chance of malignant tumors is below 30%. This is because ovarian stimulation by hormones in the body and inflammation often lead to the appearance of benign masses, such as common ovarian cysts, a small number of ovarian teratomas or ovarian chocolate cysts, which are all benign tumors. All ovarian cancers and immature ovarian teratomas are malignant tumors, and once diagnosed, they need to be treated with surgery as soon as possible, and may require radiotherapy after surgery.
