How to treat a slipped disc

The treatment of slipped disc is divided into conservative treatment and surgery.
1. Conservative treatment: If the patient’s imaging suggests that the slipped disc is relatively mild, conservative treatment can usually be carried out to alleviate the symptoms, for example, the patient needs to limit excessive lumbar activity, and can wear a waist cuff to protect it if necessary, and at the same time, can be carried out bed rest to alleviate the pressure on the vertebral body.
You can also perform small swallow fly, hip bridge and other actions to strengthen the strength of the low back muscles; you can also use indomethacin, methylcobalamin and other drugs to relieve pain, nutrient nerves.
2. Surgery: If conservative treatment is ineffective and the patient has persistent intermittent claudication and dysfunction of bowel movement, timely surgery is recommended. Currently, the main surgical methods include interbody fusion surgery, intervertebral foramenoscopic interbody fusion surgery, and spinal canal enlargement and plasty.
The specific surgical method needs to be decided by a professional physician after a comprehensive evaluation based on the patient’s imaging results.
If the diagnosis of slipped disc is confirmed, early and standardized treatment is recommended to reduce the adverse effects of the disease. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor, avoid self-medication.
