Pancreatic Enzyme Enteric Solution Capsules Medication Guidance

  Pancreatic Enzyme Enteric Capsules (Depotone) for the treatment of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency in children and adults. Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is common in (but not limited to): chronic pancreatitis, post-pancreatic resection, post-gastrectomy, pancreatic cancer, obstruction of pancreatic duct or common bile duct (e.g. due to tumor), etc. Ingredients: This product is a mixture of various enzymes extracted from pig pancreas. The main enzymes are pancreatic protease, pancreatic lipase and pancreatic amylase.  Usage: Take at least 2-4 capsules of pancreatic enzyme with each meal, 3 times a day, at least 2 capsules of pancreatic enzyme by mouth when eating, swallow the whole capsule with meal, do not crush or chew. If it is difficult to swallow the whole capsule (such as children or elderly people), you can carefully open the capsule and mix the pancreatic enzyme particles with liquid (e.g. juice) and drink it together, but the mixture should be taken immediately and cannot be stored.  You can adjust the dosage according to the severity of the disease, control of steatorrhea and the need to maintain good nutritional status.
