Hepatitis B, known as hepatitis B virus, is very difficult to be completely cured, and hepatitis C, known as viral hepatitis C, are two completely different diseases, so even if hepatitis B is eliminated, hepatitis C will still exist.
1. Hepatitis B virus: it is an infectious disease caused by hepatitis B virus with liver lesions as the main cause, mainly transmitted through blood, body fluids, mother and child and other extra-gastrointestinal routes, clinically fatigue, loss of appetite, anorexia, liver function abnormalities as the main manifestations, jaundice and fever can occur in some cases, representing drugs such as interferon α, tenofovir, entecavir, tepivudine and so on.
2. Hepatitis C Virus: It is a viral liver disease caused by hepatitis C virus infection, with progressive liver inflammation as the main cause, which is mainly transmitted through the blood pathway, and the clinical symptoms of the patients are mainly in the digestive system, manifested as nausea, loss of appetite, and jaundice in some of the patients, and the commonly used antiviral medicines are sofosbuvir, gecalcavir, and so on.
Because the two diseases mentioned above are infected with different viruses and different antiviral drugs, so when the patient actively treats hepatitis B virus and achieves clinical cure, viral hepatitis C will still exist.
Both hepatitis B virus and viral hepatitis C should be actively treated to prevent further liver damage or development of cirrhosis or life-threatening liver cancer.
