What is the significance of early diagnosis of prostate cancer?

As you can see from the above data, the prognosis for aggressive treatment of early stage prostate cancer is still relatively optimistic. Unfortunately, however, many prostate cancer patients are already in advanced stages when they are seen. Limited clinical data show that the 5-year survival rate for untreated advanced prostate cancer is about 15%. Thankfully, however, there are tools available to control the progression of the disease and improve the quality of life for patients with advanced prostate cancer. According to statistics, the 5-year survival rate for advanced prostate cancer treated with hormone therapy can be as high as about 60%. Of course, each person’s response to hormone therapy is different. Among the advanced patients treated by the author, many have survived for more than 8 years after hormone therapy so far, but some patients lose sensitivity to hormone therapy about six months after treatment, and the tumor enters a stage of continued deterioration and development. It is easy to see from the above data that the survival time of early stage prostate cancer is significantly longer than that of late stage prostate cancer after effective treatment. It can be said that for prostate cancer, only early diagnosis can bring back the life of the patient from the disease of prostate cancer without losing time.
