There is no such thing as “folliculitis is known as an immortal cancer”, folliculitis is just an acute localized inflammation of the hair follicles, most of which can be cured soon. Folliculitis is a bacterial skin disease mainly caused by Staphylococcus aureus infection, and the lesions are limited to the mouth of the hair follicle, mainly on the chest and back, head and face, buttocks and vulva. Folliculitis begins as a red papule, then within a few days a pustule develops in the center of the papule and a red halo appears around it. The pustules will then dry up or break down with pus and crust over, and the scabs will fall off and heal without scarring. Generally speaking, folliculitis is a mild skin disease, so it is inappropriate to call it an “undead cancer”, which is an exaggeration. If there are multiple folliculitis, or folliculitis in the perinasal, nasal, or external auditory canal, it can be treated with oral antibiotics such as cephalosporin and penicillin, and the prognosis is generally good. If multiple folliculitis is present on the skin, it is recommended to seek medical attention and follow the doctor’s instructions for examination and treatment so as not to miss the condition.
