Shock is the lack of effective circulating blood volume of the body due to various reasons, thus causing organ hypoperfusion, which can lead to ischemia and hypoxia of vital organs, thus causing apoptosis and organ function metabolism abnormality, and progressive development of multi-organ dysfunction can occur, but it is not the case that shock will lead to the death of the patient. Shock can be categorized into hypovolemic shock, obstructive shock, cardiogenic shock and distributional shock, which can be reversed in most of the patients through active treatment, active search for the cause of shock and active resuscitation. For example, hemorrhagic shock can be cured by aggressively addressing the cause of the blood loss, as well as giving aggressive blood transfusions, fluid transfusions, symptomatic supportive therapy, and treatment of the primary disease. Shock is a syndrome that can adversely affect all the organs of the body, and should be given early and active attention, and rapidly treated and corrected in order to minimize or avoid the chances of developing multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.
