Normal value of shock index

The shock index is usually an index calculated using pulse rhythm/systolic blood pressure, and the above index is used to measure whether a patient is in severe shock or not, with the index usually ranging from 0-0.5 suggesting the absence of shock, between >1.0 and 1.5 suggesting the presence of shock, and >2.0 being severe shock. Shock index is to determine the presence or absence of shock, is one of the most commonly used indicators to reflect the severity of shock, can help a person to calculate the degree of shock. Shock-like reactions of varying degrees can occur if the patient has experienced a strong blow from a curative factor, there is a significant lack of circulating blood volume, tissue perfusion, and a sustained and significant reduction, resulting in systemic microcirculatory dysfunction and severe impairment of vital organs.
