Views on the standardized treatment of myeloma

Recently, there were several lectures in Beijing (continuing education for doctors), summarizing the new advances in MM treatment from 2012-2013, and the following views on the standardized treatment of myeloma: 1. Newly diagnosed patients: The treatment phase is divided into four steps: induction of remission – consolidation – maintenance and re-induction after relapse. The first-line recommended remission induction regimen is: VCD regimen (Vanco + cyclophosphamide + dexamethasone) Consolidation regimen is not uniform: VCD, PAD, etc. The recommended regimen for maintenance is: response stop, Vanco or ranadolamide. 2.On the course of treatment: In the 70s, our hospital insisted on chemotherapy for 1 year; after having Vanco, the course was shortened and now it has gone round again, with guidelines proposed: at least 9 months or 1 year, etc. 3, according to the relapse according to the progress of the disease selection of drugs: inert relapse: 2 drugs or 3 to be combined program, such as ranadolamide + dexamethasone, etc. Progressive relapse: 3 or 4 drug combination, or even stronger regimen, such as Vanco + DT-PACE regimen.
