Lung nodules with ground-glass pattern are similar morphologic changes that appear on imaging of the lungs, that is, lung nodules with hairy glass-like changes, which may be due to inflammation, or calcium deposits caused by other diseases. They may be benign or malignant. 1. Benign lesions: For example, calcium deposits caused by localized inflammatory reactions, or pulmonary edema, and protein deposits, etc. These nodules do not require special treatment if there is no obvious discomfort, and should be reviewed regularly. 2. Malignant lesions: for example, lung cancer, lymphoma and other malignant tumors may also lead to glassy lung nodules, which need to improve the relevant examinations, such as enhanced CT, puncture biopsy, etc. to identify the cause of the disease and timely take surgical treatment. Glassy lung nodules are a kind of common imaging changes, which are usually described in the chest CT report, and are mostly seen in benign lesions. If there is no discomfort and the size of glassy lung nodules does not change or gradually shrinks, regular checkups will be sufficient, but if the nodules become larger or more serious symptoms such as chest pain, chest tightness, dyspnea, hemoptysis and so on, you should consult a doctor in time to complete the relevant examinations and take surgical treatment as soon as possible.
