Chondrosarcoma is a malignant tumor and can be divided into primary and secondary chondrosarcoma, which is invasive and destructive to surrounding tissues and has blurred boundaries with normal tissues. Chondrosarcoma has a very high chance of recurrence and is prone to metastasis to bones and organs, mostly through blood circulation. When chondrosarcoma metastasizes to important bones such as the cervical and thoracic spine or to important organs such as the liver, lungs and kidneys, it can lead to death in severe cases. Therefore, once a diagnosis of chondrosarcoma is confirmed, immediate medical attention is required.
