How long does it take to get the results of brain CT

The result time of brain CT varies from hospital to hospital, with emergency patients getting results in about half an hour, and general results of brain CT generally getting results within 24 hours. Brain CT is one of the most important imaging tools commonly used in clinical practice. In cerebrovascular diseases, it is highly sensitive to new cerebral hemorrhage, and it can also show intracranial hypertension and cerebral edema, secondary brain herniation, etc. In addition, brain CT is also sensitive to skull fractures and can clearly show the site and nature of fractures, and is also used for the diagnosis of intracranial tumors. Generally speaking, CT examination is fast and the examination time per patient is short, but because the examination is widely used in the clinic and the number of examinations is large, it is generally difficult for ordinary patients to obtain results in a very short time except for emergency patients. In short, emergency patients are generally given priority by imaging doctors and the results are usually available in half an hour or so, while the time for general patients is limited by the hospital’s examination equipment, doctors, and the number of patients, but in most patients the results are available within 24 hours.
