Do you need bed rest at 12 weeks with the lower edge covering the endocervix?

Bed rest is recommended when the lower edge of the placenta covers the inner cervical opening at 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Under normal circumstances, the placenta should be attached to the bottom or body of the uterus at 12 weeks of pregnancy. If the lower edge of the placenta reaches or covers the endocervical os, it indicates that the placenta is in a low position. Low placenta position is known as low lying placenta. 12 weeks with low lying placenta is prone to vaginal bleeding and will risk miscarriage.
Pregnant women with placenta praevia should take bed rest and prohibit all strenuous exercise. With the gradual increase in the number of months, the lower end of the cervix gradually lengthens, and the placenta may move up and cease to be hypoplastic.
The lower edge of the placenta covers the endocervix at 12 weeks of pregnancy, and it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for relevant examinations and follow the doctor’s advice to avoid delaying treatment.
