When you have shingles, it’s important to avoid infection!

Every year, at the turn of the season, we receive many patients with herpes zoster neuralgia, as shown in the picture. Herpes can grow on the head, face, trunk, and extremities; depending on the body type, it can be as full of sores as a volcanic eruption, or only a few scattered red rashes, such as near the eyes, which can affect the face with eyelid edema and drooping. So what happens if you get shingles and don’t take care of it and treat it haphazardly? An elderly male in his 70s, 3 months post-herpes, this is how his skin looked like when he first came to our department with broken skin, pins and needles pain in all the red areas, and inability to sleep at night. The old man had used herbal topical application before. Now the local skin is not healing well. Then the point is this: 1, herpes zoster is a self-limiting disease, no need to deal with it, usually within 2 weeks it will subside on its own (excluding neuralgia). 2, long herpes place to keep dry and clean, try not to get wet. 3.Do not do the following acts: scratching, picking with needles, burning with fire, burning with cigarette or moxibustion, applying herbal medicine. 4.It is recommended to go to the pain department for consultation, especially for elderly people with severe pain.
