Brain infarction is cerebral infarction, there is no difference between the two, they are exactly the same kind of disease. Cerebral infarction is a kind of ischemic stroke in which the cerebral blood flow is reduced due to atherosclerosis, heart disease, vasculitis and other causes, resulting in localized ischemia and necrosis of brain tissue cells and thus a series of clinical symptoms of neurological deficits. Common clinical symptoms of cerebral infarction include hemiparesis, hemianesthesia, hemianopsia, slurred speech, dizziness, vomiting, visual field loss, choking on water, difficulty in swallowing, and unstable gait, etc. Patients with severe infarction may also develop symptoms such as impaired consciousness, dementia, and epilepsy. The treatment of cerebral infarction is divided into the acute phase and the recovery phase. The acute phase includes intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular treatment, while the recovery phase mainly involves anti-atherosclerosis, anticoagulation, improvement of cerebral circulation, nerve nutrition and symptomatic rehabilitation.
