What is the cause of green stools in breastfed babies

Baby stools that appear more obviously green are usually caused by changes in the baby’s digestive function. Normal baby stools should be yellow in color with a slight green color. If the color change is more pronounced and dark green appears, it is usually due to cold or changes in the mother’s diet, which may have some effect on the child’s gastrointestinal motility, and green stools may appear. If the baby eats too much while breastfeeding, causing indigestion, green stools may also appear. So it needs to depend on the baby’s mental state. If the baby is in good spirits and can eat and poop, there is usually no obvious problem.
