With the increasing incidence of breast diseases nowadays, many women are getting more and more frightened. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct frequent self-examinations of the breast. The specific methods of self-examination of the breast are as follows: (1) Checking in the shower When taking a shower, the breasts are first soaped to facilitate the sliding check, when checking, one hand is placed behind the head, the fingers of one hand are straight and together, and the fingers are used in a spiral way to carefully check each part of the breast to see if there are hard lumps, and this method is swapped between the left and right. (2) Examination in front of the mirror Stand in front of the mirror with your hands hanging down and see if the appearance of the breast is normal. Are there any sunken nipples? Is there any skin wrinkling, swelling, etc.? Gently pinch the nipple to see if there is any discharge. Then check the armpits for swollen lymph glands. Finally, raise your hands above your head and do it again! (3) Lie on your back and place a small pillow or folded towel under your left shoulder, put your left hand on the back of your head, straighten the fingers of your right hand together, and gently press your left breast to make small circles to massage it. Follow the above method and use your left hand to check your right breast instead. The best time for self-examination is after each menstrual period (the 9th to 11th day after the menstrual period), and the results of the examination should be compared with the previous month, and you should go to the hospital for consultation if the following conditions occur: ① bilateral breast asymmetry; ② breast lumps or hard nodes with a harder texture than before; ③ breast skin is edematous, sunken, not shiny, etc.; ④ nipple overflow, sunken; ⑤ areola skin has eczema-like changes.
