For cold and chilly lower extremities, specific usage: Decoction in water, and when the water is properly warmed, take a foot bath. 1 to 2 times a day, 20-30 minutes each time, the liquid to cover the back of the foot is appropriate, when the water is cold, you can keep adding boiling water to the required temperature. Foot bath generally use wooden or enamel basin, so as not to react with some of the ingredients in the Chinese medicine, affecting the efficacy of the drug. Also note: 1, the temperature should be appropriate, the ability of diabetic patients to sense the outside temperature is reduced, often can not sense the correct temperature of the water, very easy to be scalded. And the high temperature of the water is prone to foot infection, aggravating the deterioration of diabetic foot disease. Therefore, it is recommended that diabetic patients soak their feet to test the temperature of the water, or measured with a thermometer, to 37 ℃ is appropriate. 2, in addition to foot soak to pay attention to keep warm, until the whole body heat slowly reduced before the end, generally through long-term adherence can benefit. 3, half an hour after the meal should not soak feet. After eating, most of the blood in the body are flowing to the digestive tract, if immediately after the meal with hot water foot soak, the blood should flow to the digestive system to the lower extremities, day after day will affect digestion and absorption. Therefore, it is best to soak your feet after 1 to 2 hours after eating. 4, foot soak should not be too long, to 15 to 30 minutes is appropriate. In the foot soaking process, due to the body’s blood circulation accelerated, the heart rate is also faster than usual, too long easily affect the heart. In addition, because more blood will flow to the lower extremities, weak people are prone to dizziness due to insufficient blood supply to the brain, and even fainting can occur in serious cases, people with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the elderly should pay attention to, if there is chest tightness, dizziness, should temporarily stop soaking feet, immediately lie down to rest. 5, the foot has an infection or bleeding, to prohibit foot soaking.
