How long can you live with gallbladder tumor?

Gallbladder tumors include benign gallbladder tumors and malignant gallbladder tumors. Gallbladder tumors can only be judged according to the specific nature of how long they can survive, as follows: 1. Benign gallbladder tumors can live normally if treated in time, and benign gallbladder tumors are also commonly referred to as gallbladder polyps. Gallbladder polyps are divided into many types, including cholesterol polyps, inflammatory polyps, gallbladder adenomyosis and adenoma, etc. Among them, adenoma of gallbladder has the highest risk and is currently considered as a precancerous lesion. If left untreated, there is a risk of carcinogenesis, which means transformation into gallbladder cancer. If the diameter of benign gallbladder tumor is small, such as less than 1cm, the chance of cancer in this case is relatively low and can be observed by regular ultrasound follow-up. If the diameter of gallbladder polyp is larger than 1cm, the base is wider, and it grows rapidly within a short period of time or combined with gallbladder stones, surgery should be considered as soon as possible. After surgical resection, it can be clinically cured and does not affect the survival period, which is the same as the survival life of normal people; 2. Malignant tumor of gallbladder, which is often called gallbladder cancer, will significantly affect the survival period, and patients with advanced stage may survive for less than one year or even shorter. The malignant degree of gallbladder tumor is very high, and the survival period of patients will be affected to different degrees. For early-stage gallbladder cancer, after radical surgery is given, patients are likely to have a better survival, such as surviving for more than five years or even longer. For advanced gallbladder cancer, survival is significantly affected, with a survival time of less than one year, and in some cases, less than three months. For gallbladder tumors, once detected, the nature of the tumor should be judged as soon as possible and different treatments should be taken according to the different nature in order to obtain better survival.
