Side effects of Prozac

  Prosperity Pill is a proprietary Chinese medicine, which is a water pill made of several Chinese herbs, including Chai Hu, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Atractylodes Macrocephala, Poria, Radix Glycyrrhiza Uralensis, Peppermint and Ginger. It has the effect of draining the liver and strengthening the spleen, nourishing blood and regulating menstruation. It is often used for menstrual disorders caused by liver qi discomfort, chest distension and pain, dizziness and loss of appetite.  It has a wide range of effects and can be a good treatment for gynecological breast and menstrual disorders. Its side effects are low, and it is generally safe if taken on the basis of accurate TCM evidence. However, there have been 2 cases of excessive leucorrhea caused by Prosperity Pill. There have also been case reports suggesting that Prozac can cause allergic reactions, even anaphylactic shock reactions. It is important to note that Prosperity Pills are only indicated for patients with TCM diagnosis of liver qi stagnation or liver stagnation with spleen deficiency. In addition, if, by chance, a prolonged menstrual period, a low menstrual flow or irregular bleeding is induced during the use of Prosperity Pills, or if the symptoms are not alleviated after taking them, it is still necessary to seek immediate medical attention.
