How to pull out your ears frequently

There is no benefit to pulling out the ears frequently, as it can damage the skin of the external ear canal and the mucous membrane. When dirty water enters the outer ear canal locally, it can cause infection of the outer ear canal membrane cysts and lead to otitis externa. When the inflammation is severe, it can cause an abscess in the external ear canal, and the patient will experience symptoms related to ear swelling and pain, headache, and inflammatory exudation. Repeatedly pulling out the ear will also stimulate more secretion from the sweat pores, leading to increased earwax. If the patient’s immune system is weakened, simultaneous exposure to allergens can cause eczema in the external ear canal, causing local itching, pain, cracking, and more yellow discharge. Patients will repeatedly pull out their ears because of itching in the external ear canal, forming a vicious cycle, which leads to hyperplasia of the skin of the external ear canal and narrowing of the external ear canal, resulting in hearing loss and tinnitus. When further aggravated it can also invade the eardrum, causing symptoms related to perforation of the eardrum and pus flowing from the external ear canal.
