The treatment of anal fissures is a little easier than hemorrhoids. If the fissure is acute, the fissure can be healed and cured by conservative treatment with medication. Even in the case of chronic fissures, if conservative treatment with medication is not effective, the fissure can be cured by surgery. The surgery is much simpler compared to hemorrhoids, as the fissure and appendages are simply removed and part of the internal sphincter is severed to ensure no recurrence after surgery. The initial stage of hemorrhoids is usually treated conservatively with medication, but if the patient does not pay attention to their diet, bowel movements and lifestyle habits, the hemorrhoids will continue to worsen. Severe cases can lead to circumferential mixed hemorrhoids, and the surgery is much more difficult compared to anal fissures.
