Can anal fissures be treated?

Anal fissures are also quite treatable, as they occur mainly in young and middle-aged patients. For milder cases, you can choose conservative treatment by insisting on daily baths or salt water sitz baths, adjusting your diet, eating a reasonable diet, eating more vegetables and coarse fiber foods, and ideally getting into the habit of going to bed and having bowel movements on time. Avoid drinking alcohol, don’t work hard, don’t stay up late, and do physical exercises to improve your symptoms. In case of severe anal fissure, which affects the daily life and work, you can choose surgical treatment by applying local anesthesia or epidural anesthesia to remove the ulcerated surface of the fissure. If there is a combination of hemorrhoids, they should also be treated together. After surgery, medication should be changed on a regular basis to promote healing of the wound, and after each bowel movement, cleaning and sitz bath should be performed in a timely manner to prevent infection.
