Deerstalker stones are complex and difficult kidney stones with high surgical risks and relatively high complication rates. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy, is the treatment of choice for minimally invasive lumpectomy for these stones. Antler stones often require staged surgery (staged, multiple surgeries to retrieve the stone, with at least 1 week between each two), and multi-channel surgery (lumbar puncture of 1-3 minimally invasive hole-like working channels, each about 1 cm in size). Elements of successful surgery: Adequate preoperative evaluation, combined with surgical experience, proficiency, and choice of instrumentation are important factors influencing the outcome of the procedure. This was a recent percutaneous nephrolithotomy with a typical complete deerstalker-shaped kidney stone. Adequate preoperative evaluation, good choice of surgical access, and complete removal of the stone in one single pass. The patient was discharged successfully.
