Vitamin B6 tablets produce little toxicity when used in normal doses with normal renal function, but prolonged, excessive use may cause peripheral neuritis. Prolonged, excessive use of vitamin B6 tablets may lead to severe peripheral neuritis, in which patients experience abnormal nerve sensations, unsteady gait, numbness of hands and feet. Application of vitamin B6 tablets 200 mg per day for more than 30 days may lead to the development of dependence syndrome.
