When switching your baby’s formula, such as from preterm formula during hospitalization to post-preterm formula, or from post-preterm formula to infant formula, a gradual approach should be taken. For example, feed 8 times a day, adding 1 time of the new formula first and the remaining 7 times of the old formula. If you can adapt to it after 2-3 days of observation, then increase it to 2 times the new formula and the remaining 6 times the old formula until it is completely replaced with the new formula. Many babies may not be accustomed to the taste or intolerance during the conversion process, but they will always get used to it, so don’t rush.
