Sensorineural tinnitus refers to tinnitus caused by damage to sensory cells or nerves in the ear, mostly accompanied by sensorineural hearing loss. Treatment for sensorineural tinnitus usually takes the form of medication, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, psychological therapy, acoustic therapy, and magnetic stimulation therapy. In terms of medication, there is no special medication at present, but usually the following drugs can be taken: vasodilators and psychotropic drugs can be used. The main problem that causes neurological tinnitus is the problem of the nerves in the ear, so we should start from the origin of the problem; at the same time, if the organism is anxious and depressed, some anxiolytic and antidepressant drugs can be taken appropriately to relieve the patient’s psychology and help restore the treatment; if patients have convulsions and agitation, they can take carbamazepine type anticonvulsants; intravenous infusion of lidocaine is also effective for some patients, and insomnia patients need to use western medicine or traditional Chinese medicine that improves sleep. In addition to medication for neurogenic tinnitus, it is recommended to supplement dietary therapy by eating more soy foods, because soy products are very high in iron and have a large amount of calcium, which can promote the metabolic deficiency of calcium in the cochlea and improve the symptoms of neurogenic tinnitus. Patients with neurogenic tinnitus who are not relieved continuously or with vertigo or hearing loss need to seek medical help in hospital.
